Information About Airport Security Force (ASF)

ASF was first created in 1975 and was under civil aviation, but in the later years due to facing new challenges in the security of facilities, and on basis of needs the department was put under the ministry of defense. The main purpose of ASF is to guard the airports of Pakistan, as there are over 12 international airports in Pakistan. In addition to this, the ASF is tasked with the protection of aircraft in the ground, and also the civil aviation buildings. ASF follows strict standards and protocols in the recruitment of its personal, just like the army uses.
